Sonata Borealis - world premiere

World premiere of Sonata Borealis for cello and piano. Inspired by the birdsongs and natural landscapes of our boreal forests, this work will be performed by cellist Nathan Vickery (NY Philharmonic) and pianist Eileen Buck (Mannes College, Geneva Conservatory of Music).

This performance will be part of a Faculty Concert at the Geneva Conservatory of Music. The program also features works by The program will also include performances by several of our other faculty members, featuring works by Heinrich Biber, Beata Moon, Francis Poulenc, Franz Schubert, Clara Schumann, and Joy Son.

Admission is free, no tickets are required.

Three Prayers from Canyon Road - world premiere

World premiere of Three Prayers from Canyon Road (rescheduled from April 2020), a cappella choral settings of prayers from the book Canyon Road: A Book of Prayer by Kari Kristina Reeves, performed by the Manhattan School of Music Lab Chorus conducted by Rong Zhang. Morning on Lake Huron - NYC premiere

Morning on Lake Huron will receive its NYC premiere by the underStaffed chamber orchestra conducted by Elliot Roman. This concert is a partnership with the Ensemble NYC choir conducted by Ronnie Oliver Jr. and the program will also include works by Suk and Mozart. Performance of Werner String Quartet No. 2 “In Memory” (commissioned by Rod McFaull in memory of his son, Jordan G.
